KBM Welcomes Tom Miller and Ann Trivett!

KBM is pleased to announce that Tom Miller and Ann Trivett have joined the firm as shareholders. Both are very experienced trial lawyers and have a wealth of expertise in defense of government agencies, including Section 1983, negligence, and general tort defense.  They also bring their experience defending premises liability, product liability, employment, road design and construction matters.

Ann handles a variety of cases including civil rights defense, municipal liability defense, premises liability, road design, employment, professional liability defense, and catastrophic injury cases.  She is a hard-working, well-organized, and persuasive advocate, with excellent communication and writing skills and passion for her work.  

Tom’s practice has an emphasis on civil rights defense, wrongful death, inquests, product liability, road design, construction litigation, and premises liability. Tom tries cases in state and federal court and has appeared and argued before the Washington State Court of Appeals and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Tom represents police officers, police departments, and other city officials throughout the state, defending them in civil rights and negligence cases. Tom is a member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (“FDCC”), one of the nation’s premier civil defense attorney organizations with 1,200 peer selected members world-wide. Tom serves on the FDCC’s Admissions Committee, Trial Tactics Committee,  Membership Development and Retention Committee, and he is past Chair of its Civil Rights and Public Entity Liability section. Tom has been named a Super Lawyer each year since 2020.
